MATLAB based project that generates Guitar Tabs in ‘standard tabulation form’. A simple, crude way to capture notes from an analogue signal.

This is a program that generates a text file of Guitar Tabs in ‘standard tabulation form’. It recognizes tabs itself by the sound input of the guitar sound it gets. The user can directly record into the software by ‘Record’ and ‘Stop’ button, or may use the ‘Load File’ button to load a previously saved file. This software is given short parts of guitar solos or chord pickings and it then analyses the frequencies being played to generate tabs on the bottom of the screen. The tab file is exported as a ‘txt’ file where it can be used to upload tabs to websites.
